Shivers rises again?

I'm considering putting out the Shivers series as e-books. What do you think? Will kids be interested?

Hi Sir.
I think that getting it rise as an e-book is a good idea. but considering the fact that shivers is made for 9-12 years old children, it won't be much popular, as very less children of these age get to use these devices, and if also they use computer, then they won't be able to sit and concentrate in front of the screen(the concentration level of these age group children is very less). They won't get the pleasure that they will get, bumped in their
beds, reading curled up in the bed sheets till late at night and enjoy being horrified, rather sitting in front of the computer - so boring.
These were my views, sir, on your new idea, i know that you can now decide upon it.
Yours sincerely,
Pranav.

Hi Pranav,

Thanks a lot for your post. I think your comments are all valid, and they are things I think about a lot.

However, for the moment, no conventional book publisher seems willing to republish the series.

I hope that bringing Shivers out as e-books can not only make the series available to some of the fans who keep asking me how to get copies, but also interest a publisher in bringing them out again as regular books.

Best wishes, and thanks again.

If it doesn't cost you a lot to put them out there, I say put them out there. Pranav makes good points, and personally I'm not a fan of ebooks anyway, but paperback publishing isn't an option at the moment, so ebook is better than nothing. Like you said, it's the only way some people will be able to get them. Ebooks make easy gifts too... shoot some shivers books to some buddies over halloween or something, or get them hooked on a plane flight, start the Shivers movement all over again =) It's a viable property and some ebook sales can help demonstrate that. If nothing else, those out-of-luck individuals who email you (and even me) for copies will finally get some of those elusive titles.

Thanks M.D., take care
